Lumis Photography

Helping photographers identify, organize, and surface their best images.

Lumis Photography

Problem

Photographers spend more time culling than shooting. Finding the keepers across thousands of near-identical frames is slow, manual, and quietly demoralizing.

Solution

An assistant that does the first pass: grouping bursts, surfacing the sharpest and best-composed frames, and making the review loop fast enough to enjoy — the photographer still makes every final call.

Current Status

Research and prototype. Exploring the review-loop vertical slice and the on-device vs. cloud tradeoffs for a mobile-first workflow.

Future Vision

A trusted second eye that gives photographers their time back — surfacing their best work without ever overriding their taste.

Technology

Built with

  • Expo / React Native
  • TypeScript
  • On-device ML
  • Vision models

Roadmap

Where it's headed

  1. Now

Review-loop prototype: import, group, and rank a shoot.

  2. Next

Keeper detection (sharpness, composition, eyes) the photographer can trust.

  3. Later

Portfolio surfacing — find your best work across your whole library.
